Workforce Australia is a program funded by the Australian Government to improve your job readiness. Echo will assist you to find, keep, and change jobs or create your own business.
We will connect businesses with individuals and provide tailored case management for an individual’s needs.
Echo will provide you tailored support to help you:
- write resumes
- look for work
- prepare for interviews
- build your skills
- manage your mutual obligation requirements if you have them
- training and up-skilling qualifications through short courses or certificate programs
- expenses covered for work related reason (eg: Work related licensing, transport, driving lessons, clothing, medical expenses, rent and crisis accommodation, mobiles, polices checks, work trials)
- wage subsidies for employers
- post-placement support to ensure you receive any assistance you may need after you commence work
- computer and free wi-fi access at our offices
- referrals to our employers and job opportunities
- employability skills including interview training and job search support
Echo can assist you in accessing one of the many programs offered by Workforce Australia:
Employability Skills Training (EST): This program is designed to improve your job search skills, workplace skills, or to develop knowledge and skills specific to certain industries. It is available to eligible job seekers aged 15 and above and participating in Digital Services or Workforce Australia Employment Services and either in receipt of income support payments subject to Mutual Obligation Requirements or Disability Support Pension with compulsory requirements. Participating in Disability Employment Services (DES) in the Employment Assistance phase or participating in Transition to Work (TTW).
Career Transition Assistance (CTA): This program provides practical support to help job seekers aged 45 and over build their confidence and skills to become more competitive within the job market. To be eligible for this program you must be participating in either Workforce Australia Services, Workforce Australia Services Online (including Online Base Service Participatns and Online Full Service Participants), or Disability Employment Services (DES). Participants do not have to be in receipt of income support to be eligible for CTA.
